Honor has released its new MagicOS 10 update on Wednesday, the newest version of its custom user interface for Android, which runs on Android 16. This update enhances Honor's Yoyo AI assistant and offers improved connectivity, a refreshed design, and new security features. The Yoyo assistant allows users to interact with AI in real-time through a special button on the new Magic 8 series. The MagicOS 10 comes with the Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, with plans to be available on devices like the Honor Magic V5, Magic 7 series, and Honor 400 series later this month. During the launch event for the Honor Magic 8 series, the company showcased MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16. This update brings advancements to the Yoyo AI assistant, which can now be activated with the AI button. It can analyze the camera viewfinder right away to provide users with relevant information. Users can also swipe with three fingers to access their saved to-do lists and photos quickly.
The Yoyo assistant can assist users in various activities, from ordering food and clothing to managing everyday tasks. The new MCP architecture allows Yoyo to integrate better with the system. MagicOS 10 introduces one-touch transfer capabilities between Honor devices, iPhones, and Mac computers. Users can send photos, videos, files, calendar events, and contacts between different platforms. The system also fills in verification codes automatically across devices, and messages stay synchronized. This latest update allows interaction among various Honor devices, Apple products, and some third-party brands, enabling users to exchange data, control gadgets, and sync their content. With MagicOS 10, users can use other AI features, such as receiving suggestions for actions when taking screenshots. It also includes a tool to prevent call fraud, helping to identify spam or scam phone calls.
In terms of appearance, the MagicOS 10 update features a clear user interface design throughout apps, with layered displays and redesigned icons. New features include the Magic Lock Screen and customizable clock icons. The Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro operate on MagicOS 10. The latest user interface by Honor is confirmed to be available for the Honor Magic V5, Magic 6 Ultimate Edition, Magic 7 RSR (Porsche Design), and Honor Magic 6 RSR (Porsche Design) in October. The Honor Magic 6 series, Magic 7 series, Honor 400 series, Honor GT Pro, and Honor Magic Pad 3 are also set to receive the update this month. Honor plans to start the rollout of MagicOS 10 for the Honor Magic V3, Magic Vs3, Magic 5 series, Magic 5 Ultimate Edition, and Honor Pad GT 2 Pro in November. The Honor Magic V2 RSR, Tablet GT Pro, Magic V2 Ultimate Edition, Tablet GT, Magic V2, Tablet V9, and MagicPad 2 are expected to receive the update in December.
