A man has been facing federal charges for pimping out a 14 years old girl. A man called the FBI’s public access line on 1st October, to report about his 14 years old daughter who was involved in prostitution through an online escort service. The man told the authorities that his daughter ran away from home with 20 years old Joshua Manuel Treat, of Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

The father filed a report to Chesapeake police. His daughter was put on the missing persons list and her picture had been posted on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children database.

The affidavit said that the teen girl’s mother had spotted her daughter at their home on 28th Sept, but the girl ran away.

The girl’s father was able to get information from her phone, which revealed that the adult men had multiple numbers . One of the numbers also belonged to an online escort service. The man found a photo which he believed to be his daughter on the escort service website.

Virginia Beach police had been investigating illegal prostitution in the city. While working undercover, a detective messaged that, Joshua Manuel Treat and  set up an appointment later that evening at a hotel. The affidavit said that Treat and the detective agreed that in exchange for $250, Treat would have sex with a juvenile, identified as the 14 years old runaway.
