Google has introduced the Pixel 10a in India and around the world as the newest model in its Pixel phone series. This smartphone will be ready for pre-order in India through an online shopping site and the official Google store, with sales starting next month. The Pixel 10a comes in four different colors. The latest Google Pixel 10a is powered by a 5,100mAh battery. According to the tech company based in Mountain View, the Pixel 10a features an aluminum frame and has an IP68 certification for protection against dust and water.
The price of the Google Pixel 10a in India is set at Rs. 49,999 for the single variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. As part of a special launch offer, the company is giving an immediate cashback of Rs. 3,000 for certain HDFC Bank cards, an interest-free EMI plan for up to 24 months, and a Rs. 3,000 bonus for trade-ins. This device is also included in the Google Pixel Upgrade Program.
The latest smartphone can be pre-ordered in India starting at 9pm IST through Flipkart and the Google India online store. The Google Pixel 10a is expected to be available for purchase in India on March 6. It is offered in colors like Berry, Fog, Lavender, and Obsidian. The new Google Pixel 10a runs on Android 16, and the company claims it will receive seven years of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates. The gadget features a 6.3-inch (1,080x2,424 pixels) Actua (pOLED) screen that refreshes at a maximum of 120Hz, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection and a bright display with up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The Google Pixel 10a uses the company’s Tensor G4 chipset (the same as last year's version) and has a Titan M2 security coprocessor. It also has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
For photography, the Google Pixel 10a features a dual rear camera system, which includes a 48-megapixel (f/1.7) main camera with a 25mm focal length, a 1/2.0-inch sensor, and optical image stabilization (OIS), along with a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) ultrawide camera that has a 120-degree field of view and a 1/3.1-inch sensor. It also has a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) front camera for selfies and video calls. The Google Pixel 10a is supported by a 5,100mAh battery. The phone can charge at 30W through wired charging and 10W via wireless charging. It supports connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 6, NFC, a USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. Available sensors include a gyroscope, an electronic compass, a barometer, a geomagnetic sensor, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, and a fingerprint scanner for security. The device measures 153.9x73x9mm and has a weight of approximately 183g.
